Included Instruments
Crank
The signature Hurdy-Gurdy sound, featuring expressive wheel dynamics; carefully capturing the expression of slow and soft crank, all the way to a fast and harsh performance. Use the modulation wheel (CC1) to control the Crank, moving smoothly from soft, intimate tones to rich, aggressive overtones as intensity increases.
Pizzicato
Natural plucked articulations with detailed dynamics — perfect for rhythmic passages, folk melodies and delicate textures.
Hollow
A warm, resonant processed version of the instrument with an organic yet cinematic character.
Grains
Granular textures created from the original recordings, producing evolving atmospheres and expressive motion.
Choir
An ethereal, vocal-like pad built from the Hurdy-Gurdy's harmonics — ideal for emotional scoring and ambient writing.
SFX
A collection of mechanical noises, scratches, glissandi, percussive hits and experimental sounds for sound design, layering and realism.
Medieval Fourths
A rich harmonic patch built around the characteristic open fourths that capture the unmistakable medieval flavour of the Hurdy-Gurdy. Perfect for ancient melodies, fantasy scoring and atmospheric layering.
Dark Storm
A massive evolving drone with deep textures, powerful low-end and an ominous cinematic character. Ideal for tension building, dark fantasy, trailers and dramatic underscore.
Full Gurd
A bold, larger-than-life Hurdy-Gurdy built for epic moments. Thick layers and enhanced resonance create a powerful, commanding sound while preserving the instrument's organic identity.
